DC Comics has revealed via their Twitter that a new superhero will be introduced in Lazarus Planet: Dark Fate #1, out next week, and they go by the name Circuit Breaker. Real name Jules Jourdain, the character is trans and nonbinary and uses the pronouns he/they. Their powers are tied to the Still Force, one of seven Forces, with Flash being the most famous bearer of another force, the Speed Force.
Given editor Andrea Shea pointed out Circuit Breaker’s powers could be a blessing or a curse, it’s not clear yet if they truly love their powers and being a superhero. More on that soon!
The Still Force sounds exactly like what it does, allowing the wielder of the Force to negate motion, controlling and accelerating the force of entropy. We’ve seen characters like Turtle and Steadfast use the Still Force before.
Created by AL Kaplan–who also writes and draws the story with letters by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaous–expect to see more about this character this year.
