On Wednesday, Hasbro revealed a new Miles Morales figure for their Marvel Legends line. This time, it’s based on the character’s appearance in the Spider-Man: Miles Morales PlayStation game along with the upcoming sequel, Spider-Man 2.
If you’re a non-gamer like me, then these photos likely elicited two responses:
- That is a really, REALLY nice Miles Morales figure. It appears to have slightly better texturing/paint than the previous release. Unfortunately, that one came with a lot more accessories, including a great alternate head.
- What’s the deal with the cat?
That is apparently a really cool costume/pet you can earn in the Miles Morales game. It should also be wearing a Spider-Man mask, which I will shamefully admit would’ve made this a must-buy despite already having multiple Miles Morales figures on my shelves. Instead, it appears Hasbro just reused the cat accessory from the 2019 Carol Danvers figure (which you can buy on clearance now). So if you just want the cat, there you go.
If you want the great Miles figure, however, then it will go up for preorder on March 23 at 1:00 PM EDT from most major retailers. It will retail for $24.99 (an oddly pleasant surprise for a video game-based figure) and is expected to arrive in stores later this Spring.
