After a pair of leaks, Hasbro decided to bite the bullet and reveal official photos/info about their upcoming Across the Spider-Verse wave of Marvel Legends figures.
The photos (which first appeared on IGN and have since been released to everyone) will give you a better idea of how the figures look in articulated poses, which are pretty good. We also get our first glimpse of Cyborg Spider-Woman and her shocking price tag.
Aside from the aforementioned figure, these will retail for $24.99 from most retailers. They will be available for purchase (not preorder) sometime next month. Let’s start with the big one first.
Cyborg Spider-Woman
At first glance, this figure is a must-buy — especially for those of us with a shelf dedicated exclusively to weird and whacky Spider-Man figures. Upon seeing the $58.99 price tag, however, you start to notice some things…like how cheap the paint looks.
Even if you disagree with that criticism, however, there’s absolutely no way this figure costs more than two Marvel Legends at the current/inflated baseline price. Maybe I’ll pick one up when it inevitably goes on clearance.
Miles Morales
Nothing to add here from my previous analysis — great looking figure.
Gwen Stacy
I actually like the facial portrait on this figure even more than I did before.
Spider-Man 2099
I know I’ve defended the animated style of these figures, but the tiny legs on this one are throwing me off a bit.
The Spot
Same with the proporation on this guy. That said, you can’t help but love that spot portal accessory.
Spider-Punk
On this character, however, the zany proporations look outstanding.
Jessica Drew
So I totally forgot that Jessica Drew is going to be pregnant in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. I already loved the costume, but as a new dad, that makes the figure even cooler.
Peter B. Parker
Even though the character looks like David Brooke after an epic bender (JK), I’m still not a fan of the design.
