Last month, the new animated series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur finished its first season. The finale ended with a cliffhanger that has fans anxious to see what happens next for Lunella Lafayette and her T-Rex BFF. We now know a new character set to appear in season two.
During a panel during the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival, it was announced that Edward James Olmos will be returning to the Marvel world. You might remember that the actor had a recurring arc on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season two as Agent Robert Gonzales. Olmos will voice Molecule Man, one of the main big bads of the upcoming season. The villain will debut in the season two premiere and we have an image to share.

If you’ve read the Marvel Superheroes Secret Comics, Molecule Man was a main antagonist to The Beyonder. The source material helped influence the casting since the creative team wanted an actor whose voice was powerful enough to go toe-to-toe with their version of The Beyonder, played by Lawrence Fishburne. Read the character’s official description in Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur below.
He is a powerful being with the ability to manipulate nonliving organic matter. Often feeling like there was no place for him, he escaped to a whole new planet and used his powers to create an incredible world of natural wonder, soon making it a popular destination for aliens and beings across the multiverse!
There is still no word to when to expect season two, but you can catch up on the entire first season of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur on Disney+.
