DSTLRY reveals 8 series to spin out of ‘The Devil’s Cut’

‘The Devil’s Cut’ will be available in comic shops on August 30.

Last week we got an advance look at The Devil’s Cut, DSTLRY’s first comic release, and today we learned many of the stories from that anthology are getting their own series. Eight to be more specific, with creators like Mirka Andolfo, Jock, Brian Azzarello, Scott Snyder, and more. These eight series will launch in the fall of 2023 and throughout 2024. The Devil’s Cut will abe released on August 30th.

“With The Devil’s Cut, a majority of the self-contained stories lay the foundation for series to come,” said DSTLRY CCO Chip Mosher. “To be crystal clear, these eight stories found in The Devil’s Cut are not previews, but the first appearances of new worlds from our Founding Creators and Friends.”

Here’s a rundown of the eight stories getting their own series:

LOS ANGELES, CA / NEW YORK, NY – June 26, 2023 – Just in time for Final Order Cutoff (FOC), DSTLRY, the next-generation publisher redefining creator-owned comic books and collectibles, announced today that eight of the 11 stories contained in The Devil’s Cut will continue as series in the fall of 2023 and throughout 2024, making The Devil’s Cut an instant collector’s item and key issue.

The Devil’s Cut features a main cover by New York Times-bestselling artist Jock, an open-to-order variant cover by Francesco Francavilla, and incentive variant covers by Becky Cloonan (1:10), Tula Lotay (1:25), Joëlle Jones (1:50), and Mirka Andolfo (1:75).

The Devil’s Cut is available for pre-order now and will be on sale at local comic shops and digitally via www.dstlry.co on Wednesday, August 30. Digital copies will be available directly from DSTLRY until September 6. After September 6, digital owners can resell their copies on the DSTLRY marketplace at a price of their choosing, with a percentage of each resale going directly back to creators.
