‘Invincible’ Season 2 teaser breakdown

Plus, don’t miss the surprise ‘Invincible’ early episode.

Following the Invincible 20th Anniversary panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Amazon finally released the long-awaited trailer for Season 2 of Prime Video’s Invincible animated series. Considering how great the first season was, this one has a lot to live up to.

Let’s take a look at what was shown and try to break down what it means we’ll be watching:

  • As Mark (aka Invincible) graduates high school, he appears to be struggling to balance life as a superhero while he and his mother mourn the shocking revelations/betrayal of Nolan.
  • Some old villains will return to wreak havoc on the world, including Doc Seismic.
  • Cecil Stedman, leader of the Global Defense Agency, is not happy with Mark about something. This point is emphasized when we see the Immortal (who the GDA resurrected) in a brawl with Mark.
  • A number of big names will be joining the series’ already stellar voice cast, including:
    • Chloe Bennett
    • Peter Cullen
    • Calista Flockhart
    • Phil LaMarr
    • Tatiana Maslaney
    • Jay Pharoah
    • Ben Schwartz

The first four episodes of Invincible: Season 2 will debut on November 3 — presumably not all at the same time. The next four will debut sometime in 2024.

In the meantime, however, Kirkman revealed that there’s already a new stand-alone episode featuring Atom Eve that’s ready for us to watch! You can check out the trailer below before heading to the episode’s page on Prime Video. We’ll be back tonight or tomorrow with a review.
