DC Comics moves shipping back to Wednesdays in summer 2024

DC Comics shifts their release schedule for the summer.

DC Comics has revealed at the ComicsPRO presentation they’re moving back to Wednesdays. The shift will begin this July. DC Comics explained the original move was due to supply chain disruption in 2020.

Collections and graphic novels will continue to ship on Tuesdays.

In addition to DC’s ComicsPRO presentation full of great news about upcoming DC publishing initiatives,  DC also revealed plans to return to a Wednesday release schedule for new periodicals, beginning in July.

Responding to feedback from retailers and readers, DC is returning to the traditional Wednesday on sale timing, with new collected editions and graphic novels continuing to release on Tuesdays. As a result of supply chain disruption in 2020, the publisher pivoted to a Tuesday release schedule for new periodicals. This summer, DC will realign with the industry standard of Wednesday releases, and the New Comic Book Day that fans look forward to each week.
