AEW Revolution 2024 full card, how to watch, predictions

After a career that spanned five decades, wrestling legend Sting will have his final match at AEW Revolution.

AEW’s first pay-per-view event of 2024, Revolution, is this Sunday. It looks to be a great card, but one match is far more important than all the others: Wrestling legend and Hall of Famer Sting will compete in his final match. The WCW icon has wrestled in five different decades for nearly every major pro wrestling promotion in America, so this is a big deal. Fittingly, for a man so associated with Jim Crockett Promotions and WCW, Sting’s final match will take place in the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

AEW Revolution 2024 date, start time

AEW Revolution will air live on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. It will begin at 8pm ET.

How to watch AEW Revolution 2024

AEW Revolution will be available to purchase from traditional pay-per-view, the Bleacher Report app in the United States, and FiteTV elsewhere. It will cost $49.99.

AEW Revolution 2024 card and predictions

Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Roderick Strong for the AEW International Championship

AEW Revolution 2024 full card, how to watch, predictions

Darius: Though I do feel that the International Championship is simply THE Orange Cassidy belt, I suppose someone has to beat him eventually. Why not capitalize on whatever momentum AEW got from the Devil reveal at World’s End and throw the Undisputed Kingdom a bone? Roddy can be the workrate champ that Orange has been but working heel instead of face, and I think it’ll give this cursed group of black-clad baddies legitimacy outside of the ROH tag division.
Winner: Roderick Strong

Shane: Orange Cassidy has done an excellent job in making the International Championship mean something. But, all great things must come to an end. I see Rodrick Strong winning on Sunday and giving him his first out of many pieces of AEW gold.
Winner: Roderick Strong

Jay: As much as I love Orange Cassidy, I’m tired of pretending he or the International Championship is important. Will it be any better on Roderick Strong? Absolutely not. No one cares about this title. No one has ever remembered an Orange Cassidy or a Roderick Strong match. No one will remember this match.
Winner: Roderick Strong

“Timeless” Toni Storm (c) vs. Deonna Purrazzo for the AEW Women’s World Championship

AEW Revolution 2024 full card, how to watch, predictions

Darius: They call her Timeless because it will never be time for Toni Storm to lose the title. Deonna is great, and AEW has done well to build up these women’s relationship on TV instead of doing it last-minute on a countdown show (a la Riho and Emi Sakura all those years ago), but my dudes, it simply is, was, and always will be Toni Time. And do not quote me on this in like nine months when I’m sick of the gimmick.
Winner: “Timeless” Toni Storm

Shane: I agree 100% with everything Darius said. Toni Storm is still red hot and there is way more that AEW can squeeze out of this gimmick before I would even consider pulling the title off of her.
Winner: “Timeless” Toni Storm

Jay: Toni Storm is going to take it. Toni is possibly the best thing going for AEW and her reign still has a ways to go. She isn’t losing it till, maybe, Double or Nothing when she faces Mercedes Moné, but more likely she will lose it to Mariah May as they play out their homage to All About Eve.
Winner: “Timeless” Toni Storm

Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Bryan Danielson for the Continental Crown Championship

AEW Revolution 2024 full card, how to watch, predictions

Darius: I still don’t get the Continental Crown Championship. I do see it as the Eddie Kingston belt like how I see the International Championship as the Orange Cassidy belt, but while the OC belt is still the workrate belt without OC, I don’t know what becomes of this title if it’s not the belt of Guy Who Likes AJPW A Lot. And until that path becomes clearer, I’m too scared to suggest Kingston lose it. It just feels like a bad bet, even if I do believe Bryan will have SOME sort of title run before he goes part-time this summer.
Winner: Eddie Kingston

Shane: The introduction of the Continental Crown Championship is exactly what I mean when I say that AEW has way too many championships. I literally see no reason for this championship to exist other than to stack Eddie Kingston with numerous belts.  Hell, at this point, I foresee Eddie Kingston winning the AEW Tag and Trios championships on his own to bring his total championships up to eight. Oh, and I really don’t know if Bryan Danielson needs a championship, especially one with zero history.
Winner: Eddie Kingston

Jay: The Mad King will reign eternal. Eddie Kingston is my favorite AEW wrestler and I hope he uses the Triple Crown to run for president. Or at the very least to be the mayor of Yonkers, NY. I think AEW knows what they have with Kingston as he is someone who universally loved in the wrestling community despite all the division that runs rampant in the fandom. Plus, Dragon is spending most of his retirement tour looking up at the lights.
Winner: Eddie Kingston

Will Ospreay vs. Konosuke Takeshita

AEW Revolution 2024 full card, how to watch, predictions

Darius: Okay, so Ospreay is winning this, but let’s pretend he’s not. Don Callis is historically the most treacherous dude in wrestling for no good reason, and even though Ospreay went out of his way shout out the Don Callis Family on Dynamite, I can see Callis trying to screw Ospreay over during the match, either in fear of Ospreay turning face or in hopes of bring Takeshita to Ospreay’s level, whatever. I don’t know if Ospreay ends this match as a Callis-aligned heel or even a Callis-aligned tweener, but I do know he’s ending it with his hand raised.
Winner: Will Ospreay

Shane: Would you have Will Ospreay lose his official debut as a contracted AEW wrestler even though he has already debuted and won several matches in AEW match? I wouldn’t. That would be dumb.
Winner: Will Ospreay

Jay: I’m sorry. No one really cares about Takeshita. We all say we do but he’s just a big guy that can move well. He doesn’t have Ibushi’s physical charisma. He doesn’t have the magnetism that Tanahashi, Okada, and Naito have that transcends language and cultural barriers. And he’s saddled with Don Callis. What are we doing here? Plus Ospreay is AEW’s shiny new toy.
Winner: Will Ospreay

Christian Cage (c) vs. Daniel Garcia for the TNT Championship

AEW Revolution 2024 full card, how to watch, predictions

Darius: I initially missed the end of Daniel Garcia vs. Adam Copeland a few weeks ago, so when they said that Copeland was injured, I believed it. Now that I watched it and saw that Copeland got taken out with a Con-Chair-To, I — a kayfabe doctor — know for certain that a week and a half is more than enough time to heal from a brain bashing, especially if you’re the originator of brain bashing. Garcia is a fan favorite who has had a hot streak, and I can see Copeland making a miraculous return mid-match to help the young star get a win over not just Christian Cage, but the whole Patriarchy. Copeland vs. Cage doesn’t need a title, nor does Copeland himself need a singles title when he wins. Taking Christian Cage’s elevation of the belt and giving it to a younger talent feels very in line with everyone involved’s mission statements.
Winner: Daniel Garcia

Shane: This is based entirely on the fact that I do not get Daniel Garcia. He does absolutely nothing for me. This might be a hot take, but Garcia could leave AEW and I really don’t think many would mind… Soooo, Christian to retain.
Winner: Christian Cage

Jay: You know what, I think I’m going to go with Daniel Garcia. They are clearly trying to prolong Copeland vs. Cage and Garcia taking the belt off Cage would be a great interlude. Cage will win it back in short fashion on a Collision or something en route to Double or Nothing but it gives him a well-deserved moment of shine.
Winner: Daniel Garcia

FTR vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli)

AEW Revolution 2024 full card, how to watch, predictions

Darius: This is honestly the hardest choice of the night to me because I’m not sure which one AEW values more: maintaining the Blackpool Combat Club’s threat level or maintaining FTR’s legitimacy as a tag team. Neither is in jeopardy, as both sides are fairly established, but AEW clearly has to be okay with sacrificing one for the other. Typically, my heart goes out toward the “real” tag team, but since FTR were just recently tag champs and Moxley has taken a few major PPV Ls recently, I can see them going with the less established team here.
Winners: Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli

Shane: This match is a complete coin toss for me. Like Darius mentioned, this could easily go either way. Both teams are legit stars for the company, which makes either side losing feeling like a bad bet. If the BCC was being represented by Claudio and Yuta, I would feel more comfortable predicting a FTR win here, but because Moxley is in this match, and I tend to never bet against him in any situation, I’m going to say that the BCC walks out victorious.
Winners: Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli

Jay: BCC because Cash Wheeler might be going to jail.
Winners: Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli

Chris Jericho vs. Wardlow vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Lance Archer vs. Hook vs. Brian Cage vs. TBD vs. TBD for a future AEW World Championship match (All-Star Scramble)

AEW Revolution 2024 full card, how to watch, predictions

Darius: For me, it comes down to what’s next after the main event: is the champion going to get another defense in, or is a trigger getting pulled? If the world champ coming out of Revolution needs a defense between now and Double or Nothing, I can certainly see Chris Jericho taking this PPV win, which he’s been getting less of lately, for the sake of helping establish another champ. However, if we’re really MOVING after Revolution, including bringing back a former champ post-Bidding War of 2024 (or post-injury, whatever you want to call it), I think a second member of the Undisputed Kingdom wins tonight, probably winning the belt before Double or Nothing in a grudge match before settling another grudge two years in the making at the next pay-per-view.
Winner: Wardlow

Shane: I am also going back and forth between Chris Jericho and Wardlow winning this match. No offense to the other guys, but none of them really feel like championship contenders. Jericho is the biggest name here and is always a viable option for win, but it felt like Wardlow was being built to win the Meat Madness match before those plans got scrapped. If he was set to win that match, I don’t know why he wouldn’t be pegged to win this one instead.
Winner: Wardlow

Jay: What is this, I don’t even.
Winner: Powerhouse Hobbs

Samoa Joe (c) vs. “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship

AEW Revolution 2024 full card, how to watch, predictions

Darius: There are a few ways to look at this one, but the way I see it, this isn’t the match where Swerve wins. I know that’s a Tony Khan mindset that loves long title reigns, but I don’t even care about Joe retaining, as I’ve already said in these predictions that I can see Wardlow taking his belt soon after this. But I think on this night, to build on their rivalry, Hangman has to be successful in keeping Swerve away from the title, even if it means my boy Hangman has to get choked out for the cause. To put Swerve in a unique position, let’s see him be the only loser in a triple threat match. Hangman gets the moral victory. Joe gets the match victory.
Winner: Samoa Joe

Shane: AEW rarely, if ever, has a transitional World title reign. The shortest title reigns were CM Punk and Jon Moxley, but that was much more storyline based. I do see Swerve becoming AEW World Champion this year, but not at the expense of making Samoa Joe a transitional champion. I do like Darius’ idea about Hangman costing Swerve the win, though. That sounds like an interesting finish to me.
Winner: Samoa Joe

Jay: I hate this. Hangman being a heel is just another sign that we are living in the darkest timeline. I really hope this is a Johnny Gargano vs. Ciampa situation where Hangman has only temporarily gone insane but, whatever. Joe’s reign still has a lot of steam left so Joe will keep it as Swerve and Hangman will screw each other over.
Winner: Samoa Joe

Sting and Darby Allin (c) vs. The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championship

AEW Revolution 2024 full card, how to watch, predictions

Darius: I don’t want to hear about legends going out on their backs, soldiers going out on their shields, none of that. The Young Bucks don’t need to beat Sting in his retirement match, and even if Sting would love to give back to the younger generation, I think he can do just that by helping Darby retain their championship. Will they have to vacate the belts? Hold a tournament? Replace Sting for Darby? None of that is important to me right this instant. All I need is for Sting to retire the way he was active: undefeated.
Winners: Sting and Darby Allin

Shane: Tradition usually states that a wrestler goes out on his back when retiring. However, I just don’t know if that is going to be the case this time. Sting is literally undefeated and should go out this way. And plus, if Darby has to vacate the championships, it gives AEW an excuse to put on yet another tournament to crown new champs.
Winners: Sting and Darby Allin

Jay: Sting and Darby will take it but this won’t be Sting’s last match. This will be a great match that sees Sting and Darby take it BUT, there will be a post-match promo where Sting says something along the lines of “Darby, I want to face you for my last match” and they have an impromptu match that sees Darby put down Sting. Many tears will be shed as their face paint is washed away.
Winners: Sting and Darby Allin
