LOS ANGELES 04/11/2024 — Today Skybound and Image Comics, in collaboration with leading toy and game company Hasbro, revealed interior pages and an impressive lineup of variant covers for TRANSFORMERS #8, from writer Daniel Warren Johnson (Extremity, Do a Powerbomb), artist Jorge Corona (Middlewest), and colorist Mike Spicer (Stillwater, Murder Falcon). The next chapter of the Energon Universe story everyone is talking about will be available on shelves in comic book shops May 8, 2024.

As the Autobots and Decepticons make some tough choices to survive on Earth, the return of a fan-favorite Decepticon will change the war on Cybertron forever.

In addition to the main cover by Daniel Warren Johnson and Mike Spicer, the stacked list of variant covers for TRANSFORMERS #8 includes a cover B by new series artist Jorge Corona & Spicer, a 1:10 incentive variant beginning a new connecting cover series by Karen S. Darboe (Bloodline: Daughter of Blade), a 1:25 incentive variant by Ethan Young (The Dragon Path), and a 1:50 incentive variant by Paul Azaceta (Outcast).

The Energon Universe officially began with the surprise first appearance of iconic TRANSFORMERS character Jetfire in Void Rivals from writer Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead), artist Lorenzo De Felici (Kroma), and Patricio Delpeche (The Sandman Universe: Nightmare Country), introducing the historic new collaboration between Hasbro and Skybound, with TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE comics finding a new home with the publisher.
