Spring is finally here, with warm weather and sunny days to entice you outside. But why leave your living room when there are dozens of huge games releasing in 2025, including plenty of indies we’ll want to sink our teeth into? Great games are releasing one after the other, so let’s check out what video games are hitting storefronts this week.
WWE 2K25 (3/14)
Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S
Spanning wrestling generations, WWE 2K25 promises the most stacked roster to date with over 300 wrestlers. The new Showcase mode will allow players to recreate iconic matches from wrestling history. WWE 2K25 also features returning modes MyRISE, where you create your own WWE superstar wrestler, and MyGM, which tasks you with drafting a legendary roster and leading them to glory. It’ll showcase intergender wrestling matches, and the MyRISE storyline will include intergender bouts as well.
On Your Tail (3/13)
Platforms: Switch
After its December 2024 PC launch, On Your Tail arrives on Switch this week. You play as a writer vacationing in a town beset by a thief. (Who said cozy mystery games all needed to be centered around murder?) Naturally, curiosity propels her into action as you’ll investigate the robberies as well as build relationships with the locals and enjoy your vacation via fun minigames.
Wanderstop (3/11)
Platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S
From The Stanley Parable and The Beginner’s Guide developer Davey Wredon comes Wanderstop, a cozy shopkeeping game with so much more under the surface. You’ll play as Alta, an emotionally scarred former warrior who tends to a tea shop as a means of healing. Themes of healing from trauma and handling burnout are all-too present in Wanderstop as Alta struggles to enjoy the rhythmic and relaxing nature of shopkeeping.
Also worth checking out: MLB The Show 25, Rise of the Ronin (PC release), and Dungeons of Hinterberg (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 release).
