#5: Supergirl #1
Supergirl is a love letter to Kara Zor-El’s history, and an excellent entry point for new readers.

#4: Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1
Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #1 reunites the Invincible creative team, and presents a new side of Invincible’s world while giving a fan favorite character his due. As an Invincible fan, I can safely say that it’s great to be getting new stories set in Invincible’s world, and hopefully this has the same lasting power as the original series.

#3: Star Wars: Jedi Knights #3
The issue’s a quick read, but you won’t soon forget it. I guarantee that you’ll be picking up the book many more times in the future to flip through it, drinking in that gorgeous art and reliving the story again and again. Star Wars: Jedi Knights #3 is a spectacular issue told with splash pages filled with gorgeous art. A fun and rollicking adventure tale unburdened by decades of lore and one of the best Star Wars tales I’ve read in ages.

#2: Transformers #20
Transformers #20 feels like this series has come full circle. The final battle is on the horizon, and after this we will be saying goodbye to Johnson’s time on this book. It really does feel like an era coming to an end, and I’m glad the issue took the time to not double down even more on the action this time, and remember to pull back and really get back into the characters’ heads and learn their feelings in a moment of peace like those early issues. It can only go uphill from here.

Absolute Batman #8 is an emotionally-charged comic that will melt your heart in all the best ways. It is beautiful looking, with iconic pages by the best artists, and masterfully written, with relatable and relevant character moments. A certified classic in the making.
