Skybound Entertainment, the publisher of Invincible, announced a new video game for the massive franchise. It also revealed the launch of a brand-new gaming studio, Quarter Up.
Quarter Up’s first project will be a fighting game titled Invincible VS. While the titular character originated from a comic book series by Ryan Kirkman and published by Skybound, the game is based on Amazon Prime’s popular TV show adaptation. A sneak peek of the upcoming title was first revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase, just one day before Skybound announced Quarter Up.
Invincible video game is for the fans
In an interview with Variety, chief of Skybound Games, Chris Paulson, explained how the game is first and foremost created with the fans in mind. “I think about our team as a group of fighting-game fans making games for the fighting-game community, and we’re trying to create a game that matches what people want,” said Paulson. He further elaborated, “We think about making a game for an audience, and we’re playing the game with the people that are going to be fans.”
Invincible VS is scheduled to be released in 2026.
