Dynamite Entertainment partners with Simon & Schuster for book market distribution

Simon & Schuster will manage Dynamite’s distribution to the book market, including stores like Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, indie bookshops, and public libraries.

Dynamite Entertainment has announced a major new partnership with publishing giant Simon & Schuster, which will now handle the distribution of Dynamite’s trade publications across the broader book market. The move places Dynamite alongside other top-tier comics publishers like Image Comics and Oni Press, and marks a significant step in expanding its reach beyond comic shops and into bookstores, libraries, and online retailers like Amazon. This news comes on the heels of Diamond Comics Distributors filing for bankruptcy.

The deal comes at a key moment for Dynamite, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary and is growing its lineup to include not only fan-favorite comics like The Boys, Red Sonja, Vampirella, Project Superpowers, and James Bond, but also new ventures with Disney (DuckTales, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Lilo & Stitch), Warner Bros. (ThunderCats, Powerpuff Girls), and a rising catalog of children’s books and instructional titles, such as PAW Patrol, Blue’s Clues & You!, and USPS’s Mr. ZIP.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Dynamite to our family of client publishers,” said Michael Perlman, SVP at Simon & Schuster Publishing Services. “Their comics and graphic novels have incredible range and appeal, and we’re excited to bring them to even more readers worldwide.”

Dynamite CEO and Publisher Nick Barrucci added, “This partnership with Simon & Schuster is a game-changer. Their reach will ensure our expanding lineup reaches as many fans as possible, whether it’s through indie bookstores, libraries, or major retailers.”

Simon & Schuster will manage Dynamite’s distribution to the book market, including stores like Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, indie bookshops, and public libraries. Distribution to the direct market—comic book specialty shops—will remain under the management of Lunar Distribution, Universal Distribution, and Diamond UK.
