Alien: Earth’s 18+ activation event at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con is not for the faint of heart. The experience, aptly titled “The Wreckage”, delivers jump scares and props that would delight horror fans.
The event’s impressive cast sends the attendees on a mission to rescue their fellow workers. Once inside, guests are thrown into the dark and disturbing world of the new show, Alien: Earth. From science experiments gone wrong to terrifying creatures waiting to sneak up on you, The Wreckage was an intense experience. While the activation was very frightening, San Diego Comic-Con’s event staff still found a way to lighten the mood with quirky banter among themselves.

Step into the grim world of FX’s Alien: Earth
The show takes place in the year 2120. This futuristic world is ruled by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold. In the upcoming TV show, humans coexist with cyborgs (people enhanced with artificial components) and synthetics (humanoid machines). However, the balance drastically shifts when the Founder and CEO of Prodigy Corporation creates hybrids (robots that possess human consciousness).
Alien: Earth premieres on August 12, 2025, on FX and Hulu.
