Jonathan Hickman, C.B. Cebulski, Charles Soule, and Joe Kelly took to the Word Balloon podcast, recorded at Terrificon, which Word Balloon moderated. They discuss everything from Ultimate Spider-Man to joking about Mary Jane’s ex-boyfriend, Paul. Things got interesting when they discussed projects they’d like to work on, with Hickman pointing out Micronauts is up his alley.
While Hickman joked about wanting to write properties that Marvel doesn’t currently have the rights to, he said, “Obviously, I was born to write Micronauts. Yeah, we’re gonna get that straight.” Since Marvel has republished old Micronauts tales, it’s not an impossibility, although printing new stories is a whole other ball of wax.

Hickman also teased he’d be up for a Power Pack series, although when they are older.
And the other creators? Soule said he’d love to tackle Captain America. “My stock answer on this is Captain America. Obviously, Captain America is being handled right now by a Canadian guy… but once he is ejected from the position, Cap is somebody that I think I could do a good job with.”
Cebulski’s was all about ROM. “When I was a kid, I loved ROM the Spaceknight… that’s a character I would love one day to get back. Hasbro, if you’re listening.” Just this past April, Marvel Comics published an Epic Collection for Rom.

Kelly, who is currently writing Amazing Spider-Man, had to put his hat in the ring for Fantastic Four. “I feel like the FF is probably a thing that I had never really thought about as a younger writer, and then as you get a little bit older and you have your own family, I just feel like it could bring something different to it.”
What do you think, readers? Do you want to see these creators on these projects?
