#5: Skinbreaker #1

‘Skinbreaker’ #1 unites two of comics’ greatest talents for a slice of hardcore fantasy

Skinbreaker #1 is both a visually rich and emotionally charged slice of fantasy, uniting two legendary comic creators to deliver some of the best work of their careers. Kirkman and Finch may have taken a while to get this comic out on the stands, but it’s clear they’re crafting a comic that can stand with the likes of Saga and Die.

#4: Absolute Wonder Woman #12

‘Absolute Wonder Woman’ #12 dives head-first into the action

Absolute Wonder Woman #12 is a blast and a brilliant conclusion to the book’s third arc with some of the most dynamic action and storytelling seen in this series thus far. Thompson and Sherman continue to contextualize Wonder Woman in a proper modern light and I can’t wait to see what they do next.

Full of electrifying action, poignant moments of pathos, and jaw-dropping ending, Storm#12 closes out the Thunder War with a bang and a flourish. This arc did a great job of wrapping up season one of Storm and setting up Rogue Storm and what is to come with Storm in 2026. The Thunder War is bound to become known as one of the most iconic Storm stories of all time.

#1: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #12

‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ #12 closes the book on an incredible run

When all is said and done, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #12 closes the book on one of the best TMNT runs ever, while also reminding fans what they love about the Heroes in a Half-Shell. I have to extend the utmost praise to Jason Aaron and Juan Ferreyra. They’ve done amazing work with some of my favorite comic characters, and I hope the duo get to work together in the future.
