The Silver Surfer has fallen—but his legacy lives on.
This week’s penultimate chapter of Death of Silver Surfer, the five-issue miniseries from writer Greg Pak with artists Sumit Kumar and Tiago Palma, revealed who will carry the mantle forward. In a shocking twist, Norrin Radd passed the Power Cosmic to Kelly Koh, the special agent once sent to hunt him down. With the Fantastic Four’s approval, Kelly will continue as Marvel’s new Sentinel of the Spaceways after next month’s finale, Death of Silver Surfer #5. But before she takes full flight, she and Norrin must stand together against a universe-ending force tied to Galactus’ darkest sins.
“Kelly with the Power Cosmic absolutely follows in that [Silver Surfer’s] tradition,” Pak said. “But she’s also got a no-nonsense, cocky, dangerous edge that makes her much less predictable than Norrin and a huge challenge to the villains—and heroes!—of the Marvel Universe. Don’t miss Death of the Silver Surfer #5 to see what’s next for both Norrin and Kelly—and the Power Cosmic!”
Fans can preview interior pages from the finale, plus an original design sheet by Sumit Kumar, and secure their preorder now at their local comic shop.
