Hellboy mastermind Mike Mignola is reuniting with acclaimed artist Rachele Aragno (Yuletide, Mel: The Chosen) to dive back into the eerie, enchanting world of Leonide the Vampyr. Their next chapter—Leonide The Vampyr: The House of Yonda—is a two-issue comic event arriving March 18, 2026, featuring art by Aragno, colors by Dave Stewart, and letters by Clem Robins. Aragno will illustrate the main covers for both issues, with variants by Mignola (for issue #1) and Márk Lászlo (for issue #2).
This new story promises to peel back the curtain on Leonide’s mysterious past while sending her into a dangerous new gothic adventure.
“I’m madly in love with Leonide and her story,” Aragno says. “When Mike and I created her, I didn’t believe she could have such a vast world behind her, filled with stories, ancestors, and a gothic castle. I could draw her for hours, guided by Mike’s words, which gives power to everything he does. These two comics will reveal a new backstory for this little vampire that will help us understand and love her even better.”

Leonide debuted in the 2022 one-shots Miracle at the Crow’s Head and A Christmas for Crows, where she bewitched and terrified villagers while an undead priest hunted her across the countryside. The House of Yonda picks up after she escapes her latest would-be victims. A well-meaning stranger discovers her unconscious and takes her toward medical help—only for the wagon to arrive with its drivers mummified and Leonide vanished, leaving behind nothing but a single seed.
The two-issue saga follows the hunt for Leonide’s true ancestral home and uncovers the chilling secrets buried deep within her family line.
