Marvel’s upcoming DAREDEVIL #1 from writer Stephanie Phillips (Phoenix, Planet She-Hulk) and artist Lee Garbett (Death of Doctor Strange, Uncanny Spider-Man) is shaping up to be one of next year’s most talked-about launches—and Marvel is leaning into that hype in a big way. The debut issue will be available in TRUE BELIEVERS BLIND BAGS, giving readers a sealed, mystery-pack experience that could include any of the book’s covers, rare Blind Bag–exclusive variants, or even ultra-rare, one-of-a-kind sketch covers from surprise artists.
This marks only the second Marvel title to use the TRUE BELIEVERS BLIND BAG format, following Ultimate Endgame #1 later this month. As Marvel continues to roll out details about how the program works, fans can already preview a wide range of covers for DAREDEVIL #1, including variants by Alex Maleev, Dan Panosian, Gabriele Dell’Otto, a Ryan Stegman foil variant, and a Marvel Rivals variant from Netease Games—the latter available only inside TRUE BELIEVERS BLIND BAGS. Select blind bags may also include original sketch variant covers by Greg Land, Mike Hawthorne, Mike Henderson, and Justin Mason, making each sealed copy a potential jackpot.
On the story side, Phillips and Garbett are positioning their run as a bold new chapter that honors Daredevil’s legacy while opening the door for new readers. Matt Murdock faces a complete shake-up, returning to school as a law professor just as a dangerous new villain named Omen emerges with a personal and unsettling fixation on him. The series promises to explore Matt’s life both in and out of the mask as he navigates unfamiliar territory in Hell’s Kitchen.
