Marvel brings the Sentry home as creator Paul Jenkins returns for a high-stakes new series

THE SENTRY, a four-issue limited series by Sentry co-creator Paul Jenkins and artist Christian Rosado, launches this March.

Marvel is bringing the Sentry back this March with an all-new four-issue series—and it marks a major homecoming. Paul Jenkins, co-creator of the character, returns to Marvel for his first series with the publisher in more than ten years, once again writing the Golden Guardian himself. He’s joined by rising talent Christian Rosado, who recently made his Marvel debut in Marvel: Black, White & Blood and Guts #3. After years of fan demand, the next chapter of one of Marvel’s most polarizing and powerful heroes is finally here, guided by the very creator who introduced him to the world.

He’s been an Avenger, a Dark Avenger, and a Thunderbolt—but the Sentry isn’t returning alone. The new series centers on Marvel’s most volatile powerhouse and the ever-present threat of the Void, the dark manifestation of his fractured psyche. As the Void resurfaces and reality itself begins to tear apart, the Sentry is forced into a battle on multiple fronts—against cosmic forces, criminal empires, and the destructive monster within. The series features appearances by Reed Richards, Spider-Man, and the Kingpin, raising the stakes as the Sentry faces impossible choices where saving everything may mean losing everything he loves.

“I am so proud and excited to be returning to Marvel after a long hiatus,” Jenkins shared. “Even better, I get to work once again on the character I created – one who means such a lot to so many people – the Golden Guardian of Good himself: the Sentry! Words can’t express the thanks I owe to my amazing editors, Mark Paniccia and Lauren Amaro, as well as C.B. Cebulski and the entire Marvel crew. I’m back, True Believers!”

The timing couldn’t be bigger. The new comic follows the Sentry’s live-action debut earlier this year in Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts and leads directly into his next major cinematic appearance in Avengers: Doomsday, slated for December 2026. Fans can also check out the striking main cover by Alex Maleev, available with a virgin variant, alongside additional variant covers by Francesco Mobili, CAFU, and Stormbreaker C.F. Villa. SENTRY #1 is available to preorder now at local comic shops.
