Skybound and Image Comics, working alongside Hasbro, have revealed a first-look preview of Void Rivals #26, showcasing interior pages and the full lineup of variant covers for the next chapter in the Energon Universe. From the powerhouse creative team of writer Robert Kirkman, artist Andrei Bressan, colorist Patricio Delpeche, and letterer Rus Wooton, the issue is set to hit comic shops on January 28, 2026. Void Rivals #25 was just released in comic shops this week.
The preview below teases the escalating Quintesson war, as Sharkticon forces swarm the Sacred Ring and longtime rivals—the Zertonians and Agorrians—are finally pushed into an uneasy alliance against a common enemy. It’s a turning point that promises major fallout as the conflict intensifies on all fronts.
Each issue of Void Rivals continues to expand the Energon Universe, and this new preview hints at more familiar faces, new character debuts, and shocking developments still ahead. The issue features a main cover by Lorenzo De Felici, plus variants including open-to-order covers by Andrei Bressan with Adriano Lucas and by Ben Oliver, a 1:25 incentive by Leirix Li, and a 1:50 incentive by Chuma Hill.
As a cornerstone of the Energon Universe, Void Rivals anchors Skybound and Hasbro’s shared continuity that also includes Transformers and G.I. Joe. With each release, the universe continues to peel back secrets and raise the stakes for some of the most iconic franchises in comics.
