Marvel is turning up the heat on the final chapter of its new Ultimate Universe with a major new reveal tied to ULTIMATE ENDGAME. Fans can now check out the full slate of covers and interior artwork for ULTIMATE ENDGAME #2, arriving February 4 — along with a striking new cover for ULTIMATE ENDGAME #5 that teases exactly who survives the coming war.

With ULTIMATE ENDGAME #1 already making waves for its shocking twists and the terrifying return of the Maker in a new form, the spotlight now shifts to what comes next. Issue #2 continues the heroes’ desperate race against time as they search for a way to stop the Maker and undo the future he’s engineered, and the newly revealed preview pages offer a closer look at the escalating chaos inside The City.

But the biggest jaw-dropper comes from further down the road. Marvel has also unveiled a new cover for ULTIMATE ENDGAME #5, the oversized finale, and it doesn’t just promise destruction — it quietly signals who’s still standing when the dust settles. Without giving everything away, the image makes one thing clear: not everyone who enters this endgame is making it out.

While covers aren’t exactly a perfect indicator of what will happen in a story, one can see Spider-Man is missing, and a whole lot of Ultimate Universe heroes are still standing!

For context, the Maker reshaped reality by using time travel to prevent the rise of superheroes, installing a hidden council of villains to rule in their place. While he’s been trapped inside The City for the last two years, new heroes have risen — and in ULTIMATE ENDGAME #1, they finally ventured inside, discovering that two thousand years had passed and that the Maker has merged with The City itself, becoming more dangerous than ever.

Now, as ULTIMATE ENDGAME #2 pushes the story forward, reinforcements are on the way. The coming issues will bring in heavy hitters like the X-Men, Black Panther, Wolverine, and more, all building toward the final confrontation teased by that revealing ULTIMATE ENDGAME #5 cover.

The endgame is here — and Marvel is making sure fans know that survival is far from guaranteed.
