Marvel is pulling back the curtain on what’s next for the X-Men, and the future is looking anything but simple. With the fallout from Age of Revelation still looming large after last week’s X-Men #23, the mutant line is officially entering a bold new chapter called Shadows of Tomorrow—and April’s titles will show just how deeply that future vision has changed everything.
After witnessing a devastating glimpse of mutantkind’s fate ten years down the road, the X-Men are back in the present day, but nothing feels the same. This new era brings a renewed sense of urgency to the line, with classic series like X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, and Wolverine returning alongside fresh titles and limited runs that promise mystery, reinvention, and major character shifts. To kick things off, Marvel has revealed new covers teasing what’s ahead in April.
The month will feature new chapters of ongoing series, including Uncanny X-Men, X-Men, X-Men United, Wolverine, Generation X-23, Inglorious X-Force, and Wade Wilson: Deadpool. Meanwhile, several limited series—Cyclops, Magik & Colossus, Moonstar, Rogue, and Storm: Earth’s Mightiest Mutant—hit pivotal moments that reshape their heroes’ paths. Adding to the excitement is a special Uncanny X-Men Annual, co-written by Mikki Kendall (Hood Feminism), which will finally deliver answers to lingering mysteries from last summer’s “Dark Artery” storyline.
With Shadows of Tomorrow, Marvel isn’t just moving the X-Men forward—it’s redefining what the future of mutantkind looks like, starting this April.
