Shredder’s hunt comes full circle.
This week on TMNT Tuesday, we’ve got your exclusive preview of TMNT: Shredder #6, on sale March 25. The worldwide pursuit of the Mourner has led Oroku Saki back to where it all began: New York City. But this is no homecoming. His renegade former pupil has gathered the final components needed to tear open the mystical gates to our world, and what answers that call is something terrifying, powerful, and deeply personal.
What peers through those gates will test Shredder’s strength, his discipline, and something even more fragile. His heart.
If you’ve been following this series, you know it has balanced brutal action with psychological tension, reframing Shredder as both conqueror and conflicted warrior. Issue #6 looks ready to escalate everything. Mysticism collides with legacy. Student turns against master. New York becomes ground zero for something that could reshape the balance of power in the TMNT universe.
And yes, if you remember, AIPT was there at the very beginning. We ran the exclusive preview for TMNT: Shredder #1, setting the stage for this darker, more introspective chapter in Saki’s saga from writer Dan Watters and artist Michele Bandini. Seeing how far the story has evolved since that first issue makes this return to NYC feel earned.
Pre-order reminder
The next pre-order deadline for the series is next Monday, March 9th, for TMNT: Shredder #7. If you have been reading and loving this arc, now is the perfect time to make sure it is locked into your pull list. Tell your local comic shop you want TMNT: Shredder on hold. This is the kind of focused character series that rewards long-term readers, and it deserves the support.
Also on the horizon
While Shredder faces the supernatural, other corners of the TMNT universe are heating up:
TMNT: Casey Jones #5 of 6 barrels toward its finale, pushing Casey deeper into the consequences of his choices.
TMNT x Godzilla #4 of 5 continues the clash of titans, and if the previous issues are any indication, things are only getting bigger and more chaotic.
Between mystical gates, street-level vigilantism, and kaiju-sized destruction, it is a very good time to be a TMNT fan.
Check out the preview pages for TMNT: Shredder #6 below, and do not forget to get it on your pull list before Monday.
