This June, Avengers: Armageddon #1 launches with a special bonus for fans. The debut issue of the new event series by Chip Zdarsky, Delio Diaz, and Frank Alpizar will include an exclusive Magic: The Gathering promo card tied to Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes, arriving June 26.
Every first printing of the issue, including all variant covers, will come sealed in a polybag with the exclusive “Warstorm Surge” card. The card features original artwork by Ryan Stegman, taken from Armageddon/X-Men #1 CGD 2026, and that same artwork will also appear as a variant cover for the comic.
Avengers: Armageddon marks a major shift for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, setting up a new direction for the team and leading into a fresh era later this year. The included card also highlights the ongoing crossover between Marvel and Magic: The Gathering, which brings Marvel heroes into the card game through new designs and comic-inspired art.
Over the past year, the collaboration has already produced themed releases like Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man, along with upcoming sets and variant covers tied to Marvel Super Heroes. More crossover content, including additional variant covers, is planned for June.
Fans can preorder Avengers: Armageddon #1 and Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes now through their local comic shop or online.
