Marvel Comics is continuing its Pride Month celebrations this June with a wide range of releases, including Wiccan & Hulkling: Raid of Ultron, this year’s Marvel’s Voices Pride special, and a lineup of Pride Variant Covers across its titles. The publisher is also once again partnering with Lucasfilm for a new set of Star Wars Pride Variant Covers that highlight the LGBTQIA+ community within the galaxy.
Leading this year’s initiative is a connected cover by artist Rickie Yagawa, spanning three June releases: Star Wars: Rogue One – Jyn Erso #1, Star Wars: Shadow of Maul #4, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Echoes of the Empire #3. The artwork brings together 18 characters from across the Star Wars universe, drawing from films, television, publishing, and comics in a unified celebration.
“It was a privilege to participate in this project!” Yagawa shared. “One of the things I love most about Star Wars galaxy is the diversity of characters found throughout its long history. This was a really cool and special experience for me.”
