The competition on Top Chef is becoming more intense as the number of competitors have been cut by more than half. There is very little skating by in the middle of the pack from this point on.
The quickfire challenge involved another Top Chef tradition: the mise en place relay race. It began with two teams going head-to-head in several mise en place tasks. The winning team would move on to the second portion where everyone competed individually to create a dish with all the ingredients they had just prepared. Laurence earned an automatic bye into the second part since he won the most recent elimination challenge.
The elimination put the contestants’ fishing skills to the test. They headed out to Lake Hartwell to catch fish to be used in the challenge. The judges also awarded special advantages for whoever caught the smallest fish, largest fish, and the most fish. In case anyone was unable to bring in any haul, each person received three spotted bass that could be used for their dishes.
Once again, we said good bye to another competitor. Here are our Top Chef Power Rankings after week ten.

New episodes of Top Chef release Mondays on Bravo.
