Tatiana Maslany has charmed and entertained audiences in her previous shows such as Orphan Black and She Hulk: Attorney at Law. Now she’s back leading a dramedy with Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed.
She plays a newly divorced mom named Paula who is trying to pull her life together. Amidst a custody battle with her ex-husband and experiencing her own identity crisis, she is convinced she witnessed a violent crime. When the authorities are unwilling to help, she investigates on her own and soon finds herself involved in a greater conspiracy.
The first two episodes of Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed drop Wednesday, May 20, on Apple TV+.
Retiring with Monsters
The Duffer Brothers created a hit following a young group of teens from a small midwestern town who investigate strange happenings in their community. In The Boroughs, which is executive produced by the brothers, the protagonists are senior citizens instead and live in a New Mexico retirement community.
The Boroughs’ newest resident, Sam Cooper (Alfred Molina), has a monstrous encounter late one evening. Not wanting to be dismissed as a senile old man, Sam turns to his neighbors to help him uncover the dark secret behind the normally picturesque and peaceful community.
