DC Comics is kicking off its Batman: Bad Seeds event in style with a livestream today, and along with reveals of new titles and creative teams involved in the crossover, there are also prizes.
As of this moment, the first fifteen minutes have shown a video game-style Gotham, with a blimp floating by, comic details on its side every few minutes, and a screen on the left revealing details about the book. Thankfully, you can look away while nothing happens, as a chime plays every few minutes to let you know when a blimp is on the way. Likely, this is how the live feed will run, with special creator messages thrown in to liven it up.
Given the somewhat static presentation, one might have expected more, but superfans will be getting solicitations for September a touch early thanks to the livestream. AIPT will have all the solicitations and cover art tomorrow at noon ET.
Many of the prizes include collected editions, posters, and more, but the big final 23rd prize is a “custom art” by Jim Lee. The estimated ARV of the prize is $1,999.99!
