Adventures in Movies! Episode 25: Mid Year Awards

Discussing the best, worst, and blurst (?) movies of 2019.

Over half of 2019 is already over and it is time to pass judgment on the best and worst movies of the year. Danny, Blake, and Nathaniel discuss the most memorable moments in cinema of the year. Plus a discussion of the blurst of the year. What does that even mean? Find out here.

The show begins with a discussion of The Little Mermaid. They guys discuss Disney’s latest casting choice and why it is nothing new. They also talk about Disney’s connection with pornography.

The state of streaming services has been an interesting topic in recent months. It seems like every week there is an announcement of a new streaming channel. This week’s addition to the streaming world is HBO Max. The trio talk about if they are interested in yet another streaming network and what it means for Netflix. And how does this affect The Stand coming to Blu-Ray?

This leads to a talk about what the three have been watching. A horror anthology, an animated classic that is not from Disney, and a discussion on Stranger Things 3. Plus, only one of the guys have seen Toy Story 4. Can you guess who it was?

2019 has been an interesting year in movies, but what has actually left an impression on the guys? There are guaranteed to be surprises in our list. Especially when we try to figure out what the blurst movies are.
