The Elite vs. Chris Jericho & Mystery Partners added to AEW’s TNT debut

The hype train has officially left the station.

The excitement around All Elite Wrestling’s impending debut on TNT reached new heights today with the announcement of another high profile match — The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega (The Elite) vs Chris Jericho and two Mystery Partners.

All Elite Wrestling made the announcement on Twitter today.

Last week All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and TNT announced that AEW’s weekly television show will debut Wednesday, October 2nd at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC. The arena has a capacity of 20,656, but that number will likely be cut by several thousand to accommodate the stage and Jumbotron.

Also announced to appear for the company’s big debut is Cody Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara and Jon Moxley.

There’s a lot of speculation running rampant with fans around who Jericho’s mystery partners could be. The obvious choice is the current nemesis of The Young Bucks, the Lucha Bros, but some fans are saying it could be a tag team we’ve yet to see in AEW.

While it’s long been rumored that AEW’s weekly show will be called “Wednesday Night Dynamite,” based on trademark filings, it has yet to be confirmed. Tickets for AEW’s debut on TNT go on sale Friday, Aug. 2 at noon eastern.
