The Dire Maul dungeon will open in World of Warcraft Classic next week, lead developer Ion Hazzikostas confirmed today in a Developer Content Update Preview today.
This is a slight change from the original plan, which linked Dire Maul’s release to the next “phase” of Classic, which also included the Honor system and world bosses. Honor and world bosses will still be released together at a later date, but in response to players already hitting max level and even taking down Ragnaros and Onyxia, Blizzard felt it made sense to provide players with more content more quickly.
In addition to this, over in Battle For Azeroth there will be several new updates, including N’Zoth assaults on Stormwind and Orgrimmar, and a lot more.
