Battle.net servers down after DDOS attack

Blizzard company responded to reports of server downtime and latency.

If you’re having trouble logging into a Blizzard game right now, you’re not alone. The Battle.net service is down following a DDOS attack, the company confirmed on Twitter.

“We are currently monitoring a DDOS attack against network providers which is affecting latency/connections to our games,” the statement reads. It appears that this attack is currently affecting World of Warcraft and Diablo III servers at the moment.

Blizzard has been hit with a number of DDOS attacks recently, causing connection issues throughout their lineup of games. Three weeks ago, Overwatch was rendered unplayable due to a similar attack.

Blizzard hasn’t announced any timetable for the issue to be fixed.
