Yesterday, Netflix followed up its extended trailer for Space Force with a behind-the-scenes look the upcoming comedy series.

The video, which was posted to the Netflix Is A Joke comedy YouTube channel, features interview snippets with series stars Steve Carell, John Malkovich, Jimmy O. Yang, Ben Schwartz, Tawny Newsome and Diana Silvers along with lots of previously unseen footage.
Space Force writer/co-creator Greg Daniels also gives some background on how he and Carell decided to make a show based on the newest (and very real) branch of the United State Armed Forces.
There’s a lot of good stuff in there, but my favorite part by FAR is John Malkovich laughing so hard over a fart joke that it brought him to tears–and that this signaled to Steve Carell that the two of them were going to work well together.
All 10 episodes of Space Force premiere May 29 on Netflix.
