Hailee Steinfeld spotted, confirmed as Kate Bishop in upcoming ‘Hawkeye’ series

…along with Lucky the Pizza Dog!

Earlier today, pictures from the set of Disney+’s upcoming Hawkeye series began spreading across social media. That would be big enough news on its own, but the photos confirmed that Hailee Steinfeld will be playing Kate Bishop. She’ll also be joined by everyone’s favorite comic book canine, Lucky the Pizza Dog.

While I’ve been unable to track down who originally leaked the photos, Charles Murphy over at Murphy’s Multiverse was able to get his hands on a video of Hailee Steinfeld in action as Kate Bishop, which you can watch below.

Here’s Murphy’s description of what’s taking place (and where he got the video):

A video from the subway set in Brooklyn, taken by fan Edward Baker, shows Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton, Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop and Lucky running down the stairs and through the subway. Baker confirmed for us that the actress in the video was Steinfeld, who was seen around set during the day.

This is pretty big news, and not just because Hailee Steinfeld is about as perfect a casting choice as you can get. Back in July, it was reported that she was out of the running for the role. Thankfully, the rumors that she was chosen and signed anyway turned out to be correct.

Also, how great is it that we will get to have Lucky in this series? If the chance to see Lockjaw was enough to get me interested in that horrible Inhumans series, then you better believe a super good boy like Lucky has me even more excited for a series I was already planning to check out. With the addition of Steinfeld as one of my favorite Marvel characters, I’m 100% sold.
