[SXSW ’21] ‘The Fallout’ deals with the aftermath of a high school tragedy

Check out the teaser below!

The Fallout is one of the most talked about films that will be premiering at South by Southwest. Directed and written by Megan Park, the movie is about a high school student named Vada (Jenna Ortega) who is navigating the emotional aftermath of a tragedy at school. Her relationships with everyone and everything in her life are changed forever.

Along with having a cast that includes Niles Fitch and Shailene Woodley, the film looks like it will be tackling some heavy issues. High school dramas can be very relatable on a number of levels. The Fallout seems like it will be examining some of the normal aspects that come with high school but with the gravity that now surrounds becoming an adult.

The Fallout premieres at SXSW on March 17. Keep following AIPT to see all the latest reviews and interviews from this year’s online event.

SXSW is March 16 – March 20. Tickets and a full lineup can be found here.
