In a few weeks, Disney’s ultimate fan event, D23 Expo, will be held in Anaheim, California. Running from September 9-11, attendees can learn news about and immerse themselves in all things Disney from their theme parks to the music to film and television and more.
The festivities will kick off on Friday at 10:30 am in Hall D23 with the Disney Legends Awards ceremony to honor individuals who have made an extraordinary contribution to the Disney legacy. This year’s honorees include Anthony Anderson, Kristen Bell, Chadwick Boseman, Rob’t Coltrin, Patrick Dempsey, Robert Price “Bob” Foster, Jonathan Groff, Don Hahn, Josh Gad, Doris Hardoon, Idina Menzel, Chris Montan, Ellen Pompeo, and Tracee Ellis Ross. There are many big names in entertainment here including contributors to the film Frozen and TV series Grey’s Anatomy and Blackish.
If you were unable to obtain tickets to the sold-out convention, the opening event will be streamed as a part of D23 Expo [LIVE]. There will be special guests and surprises, including a special performance by cast members from Disney On Broadway’s productions of Aladdin and The Lion King, and The North American Tour of Frozen.
