On Saturday, Nellie Andreeva of Deadline.com exclusively revealed that Kate Dickie has been cast in a major role for the second season of Loki.
Although nothing has been officially confirmed yet, both Andreeva and Finn Schlote at The Illuminerdi (a moderately reliable scoop site) have heard that she will be playing a villain. Schlote went one step further and said that Dickie will be playing an older version of Sylvie.

Kate Dickie as Katherine in The Witch (A24 and Elevation Pictures)
Although Kate Dickie has had a long and successful film/television career, you likely recognize her from two particular roles that continue to haunt our collective dreams: Katherine in 2015’s The Witch and Lysa Arryn, the unstable Lady of the Vale who liked to have people thrown to their death through the moon door at The Eyrie.
She could also totally pull off an older version of actress Sophia Di Martino (Sylvie), which leads me to believe that this is one prediction The Illuminerdi will get right.
The second season of Loki is currently slated to debut in mid-2023 exclusively on Disney+
