I Come from the Land Down Under
Kevin lives an unassuming life in the Australian town of Dapto. He’s a middle-aged father who has a boring job at the city council. However, you can’t let his calm and mild demeanor fool you because underneath it all, he is the superhero Koala Man.
He might not have any powers, but Koala Man is passionate in following the rules. Whenever he witnesses any infraction, no matter the size, he will do his best to keep his hometown clean. Watch as he balances his family life with his responsibilities of confronting the forces of evil. From mischievous tweakers to militaristic emus to aggressive kangaroos, he’ll take them all down.
Stream the entire first season of Koala Man beginning today, January 9, on Hulu.
Hunting Hitler
Hunters is an alternative history series that follows a diverse band of Nazi hunters living in New York City during the late 70s. There were quite a few major reveals when we last left the show. Jonah learns the group’s leader isn’t who he says he is, Travis finds prison an ideal place to recruit for his cause, and a certain German leader during WWII is still alive in Argentina with his wife.
The new season follows two different timelines. The first is in the show’s present (two years after the season one finale) where Jonah and Millie learn where Adolf Hitler is living and that he is mobilizing an army to establish a new Reich. The surviving crew, along with some new recruits, take it upon themselves to hunt down Hitler. The other timeline follows Meyer Offerman, prior to the formation of the Hunters group we know, who comes across a grave threat that could risk exposing his secret. What happens in this narrative could have major implications in the more current storyline.
Season two of Hunters will premiere Friday, January 13, on Prime Video.
A Perilous Trek
The Last of Us is a video game released over ten years ago that received universal acclaim. One of its biggest draws is the captivating narrative, particularly the development of the two main characters and their relationship. It is such a great story that it received a TV adaptation.
In a post-apocalyptic world 20 years after modern society crumbled, a cynical smuggler is tasked with accompanying a 14-year-old girl out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What begins as a simple job turns into something more as the pair rely on a each other in a world where the mutants are just as dangerous as the surviving humans.
The Last of Us debuts Sunday, January 15, on HBO.
