Doctor Who fans have received some exciting new specials with return of David Tenant to play the Fourteenth Doctor. They were all a fun lead-in to the introduction of the Fifteenth Doctor played by Ncuti Gatwa.
On Christmas Day, we will have a new holiday special with Gatwa’s Doctor and his new companion, Ruby Sunday, played by Millie Gibson. In “The Church on Ruby Road,” a baby was left behind in the snow on Christmas Eve in the past. Fast forward to the present where Ruby encounters the Doctor, kidnapped babies, some goblins, and maybe a clue to her secret birth.
This year’s Doctor Who holiday special also stars Davina McCall (herself), Michelle Greenidge (Carla Sunday), Angela Wynter (Cherry Sunday) and Anita Dobson (Mrs. Flood). It is produced by Bad Wolf with BBC Studios, for BBC and Disney Branded Television. Executive producers are Davies (writer and showrunner), Jane Tranter, Julie Gardner, Joel Collins, and Phil Collinson.
