Summer is finally here, and it promises indie darlings and Triple A hits releasing week after week. This year has a lot to live up to compared to 2023’s best releases, but it’s been strong so far with releases like Princess Peach: Showtime! and Little Kitty, Big City winning over gamers and cat lovers alike.
Let’s check out what video games are hitting storefronts this week.
Tchia (6/27)
Platform: Switch
Tchia released a little over a year ago to a positive reception on PlayStation and PC, and this week it makes its way to the Switch where it will fit in perfectly. It’s an open world adventure set on a beautiful archipelago inspired by New Caledonia and the Kanak culture. You’ll explore the area and solve puzzles via gliding, free climbing, rafting, and soul jumping, which allows Tchia to possess and control an animal or object. Tchia will meet new people and make friends with her fully playable ukulele, similar to Ellie’s guitar in The Last of Us Part II.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD (6/27)
Platform: Switch
The Nintendo 3DS’s Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon has been remastered for the Switch. The Dark Moon has shattered, turning friendly ghosts mean, and it’s up to Luigi to find the scattered fragments of the moon and restore it. Just as in the original, you’ll venture through various haunted mansions, sucking up ghosts, solving puzzles, and finding treasures. Between Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and the recently announced Mario & Luigi: Brothership and Legends of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Switch owners will have plenty of new great games to enjoy while waiting for the Switch 2.
