Marvel’s ‘X-Men’ QR pages will continue and be collected

Marvel’s ‘From the Ashes’ QR pages will continue and they’ll be collected.

If you’ve been reading the “From the Ashes” comics at Marvel, you’ve probably noticed a QR code that takes you to extra bonus material. First seen in X-Men #1, it appears this will be a recurring thing in all X-Men titles.

According to Tom Brevoort’s newsletter, it’s a clever way to keep some reveals hidden until the day of release.

“And it gave us a page whose contents we could conceal until the day of release, thus avoiding any early spoilers,” Brevoort wrote. “You’ll find that we’re doing similar pages in most of the new X-launches. They’re a little free bonus, a little extra—sort of a modern-day equivalent of that ‘Things To Come’ page that ran in the first issue of the Claremont/Lee X-Men #1.”

Brevoort also revealed that the QR pages will be incorporated into the collected series editions. He went on to say they may also appear in second printings, but that won’t be the case with X-Men #1 due to timing.
