DC First Look: DC All In Special #1 shows off Superman and more

New ‘DC All In Special’ #1 page shows off a whole bunch of Justice League heroes, and more!

The highly anticipated DC All In Special #1 is the official launch of DC Comics’ new initiative, and today, we’ve got a first look at the upcoming 64-page one-shot. Due out October 2nd, the special is written by Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson with art by Daniel Sampere and Wes Craig.

The special “Reintroduces Darkseid as who he should be. The greatest villain of the DCU,” Snyder said back on July 17th. “Darkseid starts to realize something has always been missing. He senses something has changed, and once he realizes this, it sets him on a quest.” Darkseid will then collide with a new Justice League.

Artist Daniel Sampere shared his double-page layout featuring one of the heroes, some brandishing their Justice League cards.

The page appears to give readers a check-in on key characters and events and their possible affiliation with the Justice League. While Superman soars at the top of the page, the first row of three rows shows Batman and Superman getting incinerated (possibly from Dark Crisis), possibly from another universe, Nightwing and Jon Kent fighting in the Hall of Justice, the Lazarus explosion shooting off, Deadman looking all kinds of angry at the big-bad from Knight Terrors named Insomnia, animal versions of Black Adam, Batman, Power Girl, Brainiac looking on at his creation Queen Brainiac, and the Amazos hovering. This row seems to suggest everything recently at DC Comics matters.

The third and final row shows Starfire flying and she seems to be holding a card, Blue Beetle talking something over with his parents, Roy Harper bragging it up with his Justice League card, Robotman seemingly rejecting the idea of joining the Justice League, Metamorpho thinking over joining, Supergirl loving the Justice League card, Damian Wayne tossing his away and finally Fire and Ice ready to join up.
