This year, AIPT had the pleasure of attending Hasbro’s annual San Diego Comic-Con press preview breakfast. From Marvel and Transformers to Furby and Play-Doh, there is something for everyone at Hasbro’s booth this year.
Marvel, Star Wars and more return with a vengeance
The showcase featured toys and accessories from some of the biggest franchises in the industry. The Ghostbuster gang and the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man shared a stage, ready to face off. Marvel Legends revealed brand-new figures of Daredevil, Punisher and the Thunderbolts. Stunning Power Rangers masks were also on display.
Hasbro brings the Transformers back to SDCC
Meanwhile, the interactive booths really stole the show. Press attendees got the opportunity to wear a Spider-Man mask that blinks. One of the animatronic Transformers figurines shapeshifted into a car before everybody’s eyes.
There were more family-friendly products as well. Colorful Furby and Play-Doh displays proudly stood side by side. A new Pokémon Monopoly game was available for viewing. It featured a vibrant new board with cards, dice and more to match.
