Prepare for some animated and superhero mayhem with our newest Channel Surfing TV picks. The fine folks at Planet Express return for an all-new season of Futurama. It’s back to school with another season of Gen V. Then, prepare for supernatural hijinks in Haunted Hotel.
Good News, Everyone!
Before the return of King of the Hill, Hulu revived another former Fox network animated comedy with Futurama. The beloved crew of Planet Express, along with Zoidberg, set out on more adventures in the latest season.
Based off of the trailer, it seems the show will face another extinction level event, explore even more of the endearing Fry and Leela romance, and involve some entertaining Kaiju action not to be confused with Pacific Rim.
Stream the entire thirteenth season of Futurama beginning today, September 15, on Hulu or watch the two-episode linear premiere also airing today on FXX.
Leveling Up
In The Boys universe, there is a growing war between Supes and regular humans. One of the battlefields of the fight is at Godolkin University where the next generation of superheroes are being trained.
In the second season of Gen V, Cate and Sam are hailed as heroes even though they were the people responsible for all the drama previously. Meanwhile, Marie, Jordan, and Emma return to campus where they wrestle with the trauma of their imprisonment. The new school year introduces a mysterious new Dean who plans to make the student body even more powerful.
The first three episodes of Gen V season two release Wednesday, September 17, on Prime Video.
Checking In?
Haunted Hotel follows a single mom trying to run a business with the help of her two children and her estranged brother. Unfortunately, as the title indicates, that business is a hotel that is haunted by ghosts that now include her sibling.
The show stars Will Forte, Eliza Coupe, Skyler Gisondo, Natalie Palamides, and Jimmi Simpson. It is created by Matt Roller who served as co-executive producer on Krapopolis, Mr. Mayor, and The Goldbergs, and as a writer for Speechless, Community, Son of Zorn, Rick and Morty, and Archer.
The first season of Haunted Motel comes out Friday, September 19, on Netflix.
