Rhode Island Comic Con 2017 is less than a week away

Rhode Island Comic Con is coming, and AiPT! will be on the scene.

Hello, AiPT! readers! It’s your friendly neighborhood Editor-at-Large, here to let you know that Rhode Island Comic Con is coming to Providence–and I’ll be there! No, I won’t be signing autographs alongside Andy Serkis and Mark Ruffalo as one of the event’s celebrity guests (I know, I can’t believe I wasn’t asked, either!), but I will be on the scene reporting.

RICC hits the Ocean State’s capital city Friday, November 10 and will run through Sunday, November 12 at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Dunkin’ Donuts Center–familiar venues for those, like myself, who had a chance to attend HASCON this past September.

“The BIGGEST show in the smallest state” promises to bring a lot of Hollywood to Providence, with actors like Norman Reedus, Paul Bettany, Sebastian Stan, Elijah Wood and John Cusack all scheduled to appear. Honestly, the complete guest list is like a who’s who of pop culture icons–yes, William Shatner and Gene Simmons will be there.

But what I’m most excited about is the chance to talk to some of the most popular artists in comics, including Chris Bachalo, John Cassaday, Steve McNiven, Mitch Gerads and many others. After all, it is a Comic Con.

So be sure to check back between November 10-12 and the days to follow for my coverage of RICC 2017, including panel coverage, interviews, photos and more!Rhode Island Comic Con 2017 is less than a week away
