The Overwatch World Cup competition committees are locked in

Come check out who will be leading your country to victory

Blizzard gave Overwatch fans and players from around the world the opportunity to vote for their country’s competition committees in the upcoming Overwatch World Cup. Yesterday, voting for the competition committees closed. Today, the competition committees for all of the 24 participating teams have been announced.

Blizzard had this to say via their Overwatch News page, “After two phases of voting across two months, the competition committees for the Overwatch World Cup have been finalized. Each includes a general manager, coach, and a community lead, who will collectively make decisions regarding each national team’s roster, management, and promotion.”

Each competing country will be representing by a GM (General Manager), coach and community lead. Blizzard appointed each team’s GM, the top 150 players from console and PC voted for coaches and all Overwatch players from their respective countries voted for the community lead. This holy triumvirate will have equal say in which players make it onto their roster to compete for their country. Roster tryouts will begin on June 1st.
