EA announces Royale mode for Battlefield V at E3 2018

The popular game mode is coming to Battlefield.

E3 is getting under way this weekend with EA’s presentation. The company first took a look at Battlefield V, their flagship first-person shooter. The game will focus on World War II, and feature destructible houses, surprise actions where you can break through windows and get the jump on your enemy, and one new mode that is all the rage in shooter games these days: Battle Royale mode.

Details are scarce, and the presenters on stage said they will reveal more on this mode later this year, but they promised to bring signature Battlefield features and gameplay to the massively popular survivalist Royale mode popularized by games such as Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds and Fortnite.

Battlefield V launches October 19, 2018 and will be available on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
