Jeremy Renner hints at his return as Hawkeye among ‘Avengers 4’ reshoots taking place

Does this mean Hawkeye survived the snap?

“You don’t think they need me?”
“I think they do, which is a lot scarier. They’re a mess.”
“Yeah. I guess they’re my mess.”

— Clint and Laura Barton, Avengers: Age of Ultron

While Clint Barton might have been conspicuously absent from Avengers: Infinity War (we haven’t seen him since the strife over the Sovokia Accords from Captain America: Civil War), Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner’s latest Instagram seems to suggest that the former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and expert marksman is making his return to the big screen:

According to a recent interview with Bruce Banner/Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo on The Marvelists Podcast, Avengers 4 reshoots are currently underway and are “to finish the movie.”

Does this mean Hawkeye will have some sort of meaningful impact on the MCU’s Infinity Gauntlet storyline after all? One thing’s for sure: Hawkeye would’ve gone for the head. (Sorry Thor.)
