Rejoice, fans of old time radio plays, or “scripted podcasts,” as “This Week in Marvel” co-host Ryan Penagos called them at the eponymous panel at New York Comic Con on Friday. Marvel’s first foray into the format, Wolverine: The Long Night, will be adapted by the man who originally wrote it, Benjamin Percy.
Wolverine: The Long Night, debuting in January 2019, will be illustrated by Marcio Takara, best known for his work on BOOM! Studios’ Incorruptible. Percy has written Teen Titans and Green Arrow for DC Comics.
The announcement was seen as a bold move by “This Week in Marvel” panelist Jesse Falcon.
“This is s great idea,” he said, “have you thought about turning more things into comic books at Marvel?”
